It is interesting - and probably inevitable. However, the internet (and certainly YouTube) is the Great Democratiser where mobile mpegs can take on Hollywoods panavision - it's truly all about content over presentation. Though in this case panavision is winning, it's great to see a grainy video of a laughing baby right up their with it.
Ultimately though I'm sure music videos will take over the top end as they are surely the most popular short form content.

Think it's interesting to see how professional content is taking over YouTube. Amongst other things, it now seems to be a bit of a global jukebox and has moved on a lot from its earlier days when it was just grainy UGC - 100m views for one video!
