A man called Buck used twitter to get out of jail in Egypt the other week. One word 'arrested' kicked his friends into action in the US with lawyers and expedited his release. So twitter's not just about vanity, peoples desire to tell the world what they are doing. It can get you out jail.
The whole twitter thing makes me think of Monty Python and the Life of Brian - the mob following the reluctant non-entity that is Brian, waiting on his every word. Except of course Twitterers want a following, and to follow - which is 2.0 all over I guess. This is going nowhere, I think I'll go and have a lie down.
